Render Fun (or not)

The joy of rendering, I *almost* forgot how much fun it can be.  I decided rather than teach myself Poser to just go ahead and use Daz Studio.  I've used Daz on and off in the past and own many, many models for it.  There happen to be more freebies for Poser and more models I really wanted to use for it than Daz.  However, Daz now has a much easier import for Poser models so in the end I decided to stick with what I kind of, more or less already know.

However, that doesn't mean there isn't a significant learning curve especially since they updated the hell out of Daz since I last used it two semesters ago.  I had to reinstall everything from scratch.  Which I still managed to screw up but its functioning so I'm sticking with it for now.  Renders of high poly models are slow and the angel wings I have are even higher-than-normal-poly count so they are painfully slow.  So much so that my dual-booting Mac laptop has one install of Daz on its PC partition and, as I type this, I'm also installing a second install on my old PC laptop so I can also render on it.  I had a minor outpatient procedure done on Friday which gave me a whole day of not-moving-on-doctor's-orders so I rendered all day.  Sadly I rendered all day in the wrong format.  DOH.  I redid my renders in between tree construction and an art show opening on Saturday and today.  Here is a mini, low res version of one of Heaven's finest:

The actual renders are extremely large.  This one is almost 70" tall full size as Daz Studio doesn't allow one to set resolution so you have to fudge it by making your renders enormous.  There will be a mix of male and female angels.  My PC laptop will be handling the renders of hell if all goes well - which at this point I doubt.
